Features
High-temperature, superior cleaning power.
PF Grade maintains excellent thermal stability at high processing temperatures, making it suitable for hot runner cleaning. This purging compound is also used for sealing.
PF Grade is exclusively used for purging super-engineering resins.
Due to its superior thermal stability, PF Grade purging compound should be used for resins such as PPS and PEI.

Usage Information
Temperature Range | 280°C to 420°C (535°F to 790°F) |
Minimum Clearance | Requires 0.5 mm (0.020") clearance for hot runner gates and extrusion dies; works best if screen packs are removed, however, if not possible use the maximum 100 mesh size. |
Amount of Purge | Typically 1-2 system capacities (actual amount depends on degree of contamination) |
Applications | Injection Molding - including hot runners Extrusion - profile, sheet, cast film & compounding |
Types of Resin | Exclusively used for purging super-engineering resins such as PPS, PEEK, ULTEM, LCP, PEI, etc. |
Tips
- For maximum performance, Asaclean® PF Grade should not be diluted with other materials.
- Asaclean® PF Grade does not work by chemical reaction, so there is no soak time or hold-up time required for an effective purge.
- Asaclean® PF Grade works best with maximum agitation™ use the maximum safe screw speed and, for thermoplastic injection molding, also use maximum safe back pressure with the screw in the most forward position.
